Virtual Toast for First State Beer King & Craft Beverage Producers Planned

By on March 11, 2020

Each April 11 around the world, the mythical king of beer, King Gambrinus, is celebrated with a day in his honor.

Join the Friends of Delaware’s Gambrinus Statue on Saturday, April 11 at 4:11 p.m., Delaware’s inaugural King Gambrinus Day, on the Restore the King’s Facebook group page for a live virtual toast. We’ll raise our glasses to the king and pay special tribute to Delaware craft beverage producers.

So, (safely) purchase the Delaware beverage of your choice and join us in a toast on 4/11.

We’re also encouraging you to post a creative video or photo of your King Gambrinus Day celebration with a Delaware beverage to Restore the King’s Facebook group page between 4:30-5:30. Two of the top three posts as judged by us will receive Restore the King t-shirts. The winner will receive a shirt and a four-pack of Delaware canned beer, or bottle of wine, cider, or mead of your choice.

Cheers to First State brewers, distillers, vintners, and makers of cider and mead! Here’s to King Gambrinus!
